Canva

Overview

Design thinking and visual communication are essential skills in today’s digital age. Introducing students to digital design platforms like Canva from an early age empowers them to communicate ideas creatively, build confidence in technology use, and nurture innovation.

Understanding this, the Forces School System has incorporated Canva into its Skill Enhance Program as a core tool for Grades 1 to 7. Canva serves as an accessible and engaging platform where students can express themselves through posters, presentations, certificates, infographics, and more — all while developing a strong foundation in design thinking and digital creativity.

The Canva module is structured through Head Office-developed SOS and Lesson Plans, guiding teachers to introduce Canva from beginner to intermediate levels, based on class groups. The goal is to provide every child the opportunity to learn real-world digital design in a guided and safe environment.
